Here is a list of resources we have identified to help you use SWREG

If you have ideas to add to this page please advise us by clicking here - we are really not looking for programming tools but services or programs specifically of use to shareware authors for distributing and marketing their products in order to increase sales. FULFILLMENT

  • Get it on CD! is a professionally designed CD that we burn and mail on demand.

TECHNICAL

  • MGCSoft OrderDB - Free. Generously donated by MGCSoft to help other authors, this is a simple program enabling you to copy SWREG® sales emails to the clipboard and paste (import) into the program. Individual records can be cut, copied, pasted and deleted within the program and searched for text strings by column. Files are stored as CSV so can be imported into most other list type programs should the need ever arise. With Delphi 5 source code.

  • SW Deputy - From a Report on the Show Orders link on SWREG's author's page, the Deputy creates the files you need to distribute fulfillment or upgrade programs to your customers, protecting your files using the customer's email address as User ID and their Order number as password. SW Deputy easily blocks access by customers who caused chargebacks. The Deputy also makes it just as easy to distribute files to people not in the CSV report, and easily manages updating customer email addresses. $15

  • ParseRat. For when you want to extract the names, addresses, etc. in any emails you receive from SWREG®. A template is now provided to registered users to make it easy.

  • SWREG Reporter - full-featured reporting tool based on multidimensional EASY OLAP technology allowing you to analyse your SWREG sales data from many aspects (dimensions). SWREG reporter uses SWREG's CSV sales data reports, imports them to a relational database and then processes as a multidimensional (OLAP) cube.

  • Shareware Assistant - process orders automatically and manage customer informatios. Automatically retreive order mails from SWReg and other similar services, parse the data save to database. You may define the mail template and write your own key generator DLLs, and then send the registration mail to customers.. 

  • SWREG Order Parser - FREE - The kind folks at diplodock.com have kindly donated a parser designed to let SWREG vendors import their CSV reports into an MS Access database. Feel free to download a copy from http://usd.swreg.org/downloads/SOP.zip

  • AgileBill - all-in-one billing system with plugins that support SWREG Advanced Level.

  • QDashboard - Directly import customer information, invoices or sales receipts from SWREG. QDashboard checks your e-mail and automatically imports your sales receipts direct into QuickBooks without user intervention.

MANUALS

Conversely they can find you the people you need to set up your system. Offer a free online registry of jobs to be done and people who can do them.

  • Buddyhelp - is a web site that lets you do "remote control" on someone else's computer via the Internet. No software for either party to download - the client computer owner chooses the PIN number for access. Great when you want to look at a client's machine and do remote support instantly.
